We are thrilled to share that 23 Sunrise Senior Living communities were recently recognized with a 2019 Silver—Commitment to Quality Award, bringing Sunrise’s total number of Quality Awards earned to more than 300, the most of any single assisted living provider.
The award, which is modeled on the core values and criteria of the Baldridge Performance Excellence Program, is presented by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) as part of its National Quality Award Program.
"A steadfast commitment to continuous improvement is the common thread that connects every Sunrise team member,” said Sue Coppola, Chief Clinical Officer for Sunrise. “The kind and compassionate individuals who care for our residents are never satisfied with the status quo. As a result, we continually evaluate, enhance and expand on the best-in-class care and services we provide in our communities across the country. We are incredibly proud of our Silver Quality Award winners, and thrilled that their devotion to the senior population has been recognized by our industry partners.”
The National Quality Award Program includes three progressive levels: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Trained examiners review each member application to determine if the center has met the criteria. The Silver National Quality Award recognizes long-term and post-acute communities’ achievement in developing and demonstrating effective approaches that help improve performance and health care outcomes.
