Carson Fresnel 2x Flexible Page Magnifier for Reading Books, Newspapers, Magazines, Maps, Menus, Hobby, Crafts and Tasks (DM-11)
The MagniSheet (DM-11) from Carson is a full page, bendable, fresnel magnifier within a black bordered frame. A fresnel magnifier (pronounced "fre-nel") is a flat magnifier that is produced by stamping a series of annular optical grooves on to a flat sheet of acrylic or PVC. Fresnel magnifiers use far less material than a typical double-convex magnifying lens, so they are typically very lightweight and thin. One disadvantage of fresnel magnifiers is the sharpness of the image. Fresnel magnifiers generally cannot produce as sharp an image as a double-convex magnifying lens. However, a benefit to fresnel magnifiers is that they can be produced in much larger sizes than a typical double-convex lens. To get the best results from the Carson MagniSheet fresnel page magnifier, hold it approximately 4.0 inches above your subject (do not place it directly on top of the page or it will not magnify your image). This 2x power full size page magnifier (8.25 x 10.75 x 0.1) is a great low vision reading aide for books, newspapers, magazines, maps, inspection and for other hobbies, crafts and tasks. At Carson, we strive to make sure our customers are 100% satisfied with the quality of our magnifiers. We are so confident in our magnifiers that we back them with a Lifetime Limited Warranty! Carson will repair or replace your magnifier if it is found to have manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship. Please contact Carson for additional warranty details
They say, “design is in the details”, and you agree – a stroke of color, a dab of glue, a delicate stitch brings it all together. The LED Floor Light and Magnifier is our largest light-plus-magnifier, a floor-standing model that provides ample light and image enhancement for DIYers, crafters and hobbyists who need their hands free. This sturdy unit features a heavy duty neck that is remarkably easy to adjust: bend it to work at tabletop height or extend it fully to 54" for workshop projects. Twelve powerful LEDs (grouped in threes) encircle the viewing area, which features a 2x magnifying lens with a 5x bifocal inset. A unique system of reflectors further intensifies its light output. Assembly is tool-free, and the power button and handle are conveniently large and easy to use. Optional battery power makes this one of the only floor lamps you can tote around the house and workshop without hunting for the nearest outlet. It’s well suited for leisurely moments, too. Set up near your favorite chair and position the lens over your lap to brighten and enlarge reading, writing, knitting, and any other task you find difficult without a magnifier.
